The YMCA of Metro Atlanta serves more than 300,000 individuals with 23 full facilities and ten additional camping and childcare locations. The Y provides financial assistance to support more than 25,000 youth, teens and families. The Y offers programs that serve kids, adults and families at all stages of life. As the largest provider of early learning and after-school programs in Georgia, the Y is closing the achievement gap for Atlanta youth. During the teen years, the Y focuses on leadership development to prepare teens to connect to and serve their communities. A leader in healthy living, the Y offers youth sports and wellness programs designed to help kids and adults live healthier and be more active. -Serve as a Leader within an elementary school site for the after school program
-Develop curriculum and manage staff to provide a safe and fun environment
-Actively greet and communicate with parents as well as school staff
-Lead and participate by engaging children through games, songs, sports, and special events
-Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child
-Help staff learn and grow to deliver a quality program
-Complete all records and forms timely and accurately including daily record keeping
Hours are: 1:00 to 6:30 pm Monday-Friday
To be considered for the Site Director position:
-Required 6 months of Licensed childcare experience or experience in a public/private accredited school
-Must be 21 years of age with a High School diploma
-Have experience supervising and motivating a team
-Must be able to pass a drug test and background checks
-Must have 40-hour director training
