The Senior Sales Trainer will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of sales and other training programs. This position reports to the Training and Development Manager.



**Essential Duties and responsibilities**



+ Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) new and existing sales and other virtual and instructor led training programs for sales personnel as assigned and improve effectiveness as needed

+ Develop and manage agile onboarding and certification program for new hires, including consistent review of approach and design and implementing updates

+ Design, develop, coordinate, manage and conduct New hire workshops to deliver critical skills to salesforce, including sales skills training (Insight Selling), Negotiation Skills and Account Management

+ Coordinate and conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, job skills, professional skills, product training, tools, processes, and other areas as needed. Report progress and trends to management

+ Build a trusted partnership with sales and develop a deep understanding of their business

+ Provide sales rep coaching, as needed

+ Conduct deep discovery to uncover sales performance issues, sales skills, or process challenges,recommend solutions, and measure impacts

+ Collaborate with product marketing to develop product content information into sales launch materials and training for new product initiatives

+ Create, maintain, and utilize sales training tools and materials such as Sales Rep instructions; user guides; job aids; training videos; certification scripts and outlines

+ Manage and set policies for use of our Learning Management System (LMS) as assigned, including creating and assigning learning plans, monitoring completion of courses and running reports

+ Provide feedback to management regarding the effectiveness of learning programs and developmental needs of employees

+ Provide project manager/ liaison and support as needed for assigned training projects

+ Create and manage program/project tasks, assignments and resources as needed

+ Provide support as needed for sales force personnel on sales rep systems and tools

+ Provide monthly reporting to manager on trends, performance issues, insights, and evaluations

+ Represent the Sales Enablement & Training Department in teams and initiatives as assigned



**Job Qualifications**



Education: A Bachelor's degree in education or training field or equivalent



+ A proven track record in meeting/exceeding performance objectives

+ A related advanced degree in instructional design or adult education desirable



Experience: 5 plus years sales training experience or equivalent



Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:



+ The ability to work independently, take initiative and shepherd tasks to completion

+ Ability to analyze an accumulation of data, document findings and make recommendations

+ Identify and solve problems

+ Excellent communication skills both written and oral. This includes a high level of professional presentation and training skills

+ Strong organizational, time management and project management skills required

+ Knowledge of adult learning principles and the instructional design process

+ Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment as well as direct others

+ Experience with MS Office, internet browsers, and training and development authoring tools preferred

+ Technical computer experience including the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems is desirable



+ Knowledge and experience of insight selling required; the Challenger Sale preferred

+ Experience with an LMS required; SuccessFactors preferred

+ Experience with Salesforce.com; Apttus CPQ; Outreach; and other sales enablement tools preferred
