Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under administrative direction of the Downstate Field Service Manager, serves as Residential Monitor Supervisor; plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of a team of professional child welfare staff engaged in the monitoring of residential facilities, institutions and group homes, independent living operations, and transitional living programs; identifies individual instances as well as patterns of performance problems that require intervention by the Department; reviews and formulates methods, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency of residential monitoring; serves as full line supervisor of subordinate professional staff; provides high level consultation and professional technical assistance to subordinate staff regarding staffings, including pre-admission staffing and emergency situations; provides final analysis and review of length of stay data and discharge patterns.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an MSW or master's degree in an acceptable human services field and three years of child welfare direct service administrative experience; administrative experience involving children/youth receiving residential treatment services is preferred; requires travel and possession of a valid driver's license.
