POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In this role, you will be accountable for leading a team of employees that are responsible for the Butane Terminal operations (O&M) activities associated with compliance according to DOT 195, EPA/DEQ, OSHA regulations and Inter-Company/Industry related policies and procedures in the company's Freeport areas of operation which includes unloading trucks, injection, storage tanks and area piping.

Responsibilities include ensuring: 1) the safe and reliable operation of butane injection, storage, unloading butane trucks. 2) The reliable, effective and efficient performance of personnel as related to O&M activities associated with maintaining compliance according to the aforementioned regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to; working with Area Personnel, Operations Support, Storage, Engineering, Construction, and other area Leaders to ensure efficient performance of all facilities, developing/training employees, overseeing and pursuing excellence in the company’s safety program, responding to emergency situations, ensuring butane quality, coordinating shut-downs through Gas Control, working with the legal department. 3) Work with Area Manager to learn all the area to support the Area Manager.

This position will be filled as an Assistant Area Manager commensurate with experience and the successful candidate will be required to report to the Butane Terminal office as the primary work location.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

*5-10 years’ experience in the natural gas industry

*Familiar with DOT 192 and 195 regulations and Natural gas pipeline and liquid gas operations

*Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and strong computer skills along with economic and critical thinking skills

*Ability to read and implement the O&M manual and the ability to read drawings, alignment sheets and valve maps

*Ability to work effectively within a team environment and maintain good working relationships with governmental and customer counterparts

*Self-motivation and a commitment to and strong advocate of personal and team safety along with a strong work ethic

*Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously

*Ability to work in extreme weather and noise conditions and the ability to stand for long durations

*Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

*Associate's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

*Leadership experience in Field Operations

*10+ years of pipeline operations and maintenance experience

*10+ years of pipeline operations and maintenance experience and 5+ years of compressor operations and maintenance experience

*Turbine compression experience

*Previous experience in a pipeline/compression engineering or technical support role

*Engineering or technical degree

*Previous leadership experience
